The Warrington pattern hammer is a classic English design that sprang from the golden age of English furnituremaking in the 18th and 19th centuries. Not for pounding nails, but for precisely placing finishing nails and brads (using first the cross-peen and then the regular face), these unusual tools are prized for their fine balance and ability to reach into narrow areas with their narrow face.
