| The gears meshed poorly, barely turned a complete cycle.

| Returned this because chuck could not hold drill bit in center of turning axis. The rest of the drill seemed good enough but would have had to have new chuck to make it usable. |

| Other reviews say a solid drill but that was not my experience. When I screwed on the top handle I found that the threaded insert was stripped in the wood and spun, okay I can put some epoxy in and fix that. Next I went to chuck up a bit and one of the jaws fell out. I put that back in and was set to make holes. Rats, the gears don't mesh. I could apply side pressure to hold the gears together but that was a pain. I decided that I could buy an old drill at a garage sale for the same money, spend less time fixing it up, and have a much better tool. Thank goodness for the return policy. Overall I was not surprised at what I got for $15.00, but it came to $24.00 with shipping and I had to eat the shipping. |

| This drill is what they say - a solid hand drill. There was nothing special about it but it worked well. The only issue I had was that the top handle kept coming loose. I locktited it and it worked fine. |

| Good light-duty Drill |

| I ordered this drill a few months ago and it has become a fairly well-used tool. It goes through hardwood fairly easily. It did need some oiling and breaking in, but it's fairly comparable to some of the better-quality antique drills I've seen and used.
The drill is made in India, and another woodworker who uses antique tools told me that it looks like a copy of a British drill that was manufactured in India back before WW2. |
