| This is one of only three flashlights I have found that is capable of projecting a beam of light nearly uniform over the entire width, with no black spot in the center. One of the other flashlights is no longer available as far as I know and the other is this flashlight's slightly bigger brother which adds two (higher) levels of illumination, a strobe light function and an automatic Morse code SOS function. It was not designed to be a equal 4 C cell but its 80 lumens output is amazing for its 3 AAA size. If you don't like a blind spot, the Mini-Size Hi-Tech flashlight, in its machined case, is well worth the cost.
