I tried to drill a 1/4" hole with this drill and had the gears slip multiple times. I was only able to attain a depth of 1/2" because of the repeated slipping of gears. The fit and finish of the handles led me to believe the next drill would be very likely to have the same slipping gear problems, so I am returning the drill for a refund instead of an exchange.

| High quality hand drill, like my father had! I have only used it for one project (installing a strap button on a high-end Martin guitar). It performed like a champ and will no doubt find several more projects to excel with. Many thanks! |
