Purchased this set as a gift. Combination of shovel and popper was appealing (if a little odd -- who wants to contemplate ash while preparing food?) and the recipient was charmed by both. Unfortunately, the popper broke on its first use! Handle broke off from base. Manufacturing defect? The single batch of popcorn was still good...Would be useful if this set included some stove black since the popper sprays a lot of oil around as well.
