This is a lot of capability for one tool. Use as try square, mitre square, depth gauge, height gauge and level. The center head provides an easy means of locating the center of a cylindrical workpiece. The revolving turret protractor head has direct reading double graduation of a full 0° to 180° in opposite directions. It is reversible, with shoulders on both sides. For even greater savings, the 12" Starrett Combination Square is also available as a Complete Package (Square, Center Head and Protractor).

As an Inside Machinist some 35 years ago I first worked with a starrett in hands of my mentor. I am now 59 and have been Inside and Outside Machinist and 3rd and 2nd Engineer on various steam vessels. I have not seen the Starrett beaten in accuracy or endurance or ease of use. I purchased one of your 12" combination squares with additional 18" rule some 10 years ago and it is one of my best expenditures over the years. Outstanding is the 1/8" & 1/16" scales on one side with the 32"nd & 64"th on the other side (although I do need some magnification to reliably use the 64"th) The cost is worth it. sincerely Barry J.
