The only rakes we remember that were really decent tools were the old all-bamboo rakes (now very scarce) – because they were stiff enough to handle a heavy pile and the tines were blunt enough not to get stuck with wet leaves. All the others were sadly second-class. Now from Holland, comes a unique new 15" wide design that’s brilliant. Fitted with a 64" wood handle, this Rake is fantastic to work with – stiff blunt tips but with some spring, 26 offset tines in two rows of a different length work to prevent clogging. If we’ve only had this when we were kids. Highly recommended.

Call it the Leaf Flipper
Reviewed By:   (Asheville, North Carolina (NC))
I just tried this rake on my winter lawn with last fall's leaves blown down in to the ground and tangled in with the grass. This rake just lifted the leaves up and out with hardly any effort on my part, and I could get the the long, flexible tines right up against my walls where the leaves pile up and flip them out, too. This rake beats any other I've ever purchased. Now if they would make a narrower version with shorter tines for getting around shrubs (I sent the manufacturer a request to that effect)that would be one other lifetime addition to my garden tool collection.

WOW!

We are plagued with seven sweet gum ball trees in our back yard. Trying to rake them up with a normal metal rake takes forever but this Dutch double rake does the trick! The only reason I gave it a 4 is we are in winter and have no opportunity to rake up any grass clippings.

This is a great tool, particularly good at raking leaves from under shrubs. I'd recommend this product.

Easier and Quicker!
Reviewed By:   (Winslow, Maine)
The smart and sturdy design of this rake makes leaf raking easier and quicker! Living in Maine, I have a lot of leaves and I have gone through many other cheaper and lesser quality rakes. While hesitant to spend the amount of money, on first use, I can see it was not a mistake to purchase this yard tool. We are not yet in full fall mode, but it is around the corner. I gave the rake a good test today - after heavy rains and leaf drop on some of my trees, I was amazed how much of the leaves I was able to collect with ONE pass. The rake is sturdy and comfortable, though I do wish the head was a bit wider. I will follow up with a review perhaps at the end of the fall season to see how the rake held up over all! I am actually looking forward to raking leaves with this great rake from Garret Wade.

The price will give you a coronary but the rake won't. Unless I leave it out in the weather I'll never have to buy another. Works wonderfully!
