Took Two To Get It Right! The first scale I received would not CAL." The second one seems OK, but as I pointed out to the customer service person, the description is mis-leading: this is only accurate to one-tenth of a gram, not one-hundredth (still, they haven't changed the description). Fully agree that it turns off too fast (about 25 sec.) Another thing that should be mentioned: remove the plastic cover from the pan when you use this, otherwise the result will be wrong (could be the problem the first reviewer had). Also, if you want to calibrate it, you are going to have to get a Class "F" or better 200 gram weight standard, which will set you back another $30-40. Pros: it remembers its calibrations, fits in a shirt pocket, and is pretty rugged. Like in-laws, once you get used to the deficiencies, its not so bad. "
This scale is a piece of junk! This little scale is really a piece of junk! I compared it to two other small scales that I have and it was usually .15 ounces or so under. What good is that? I sent it back. I would have given it a rating of 0, but the smallest one is a 1. But really it's a ZERO!
Only Fair -- Auto-Off's Way Too SoonI tend to write long reviews, but here I'll just say that the auto-off makes use of this scale impractical. Doesn't give you a chance to do what you need to do (tare, cal, etc). The auto-off is NOT a long fraction of a minute, but a matter of seconds. I didn't bother to time it, so sorry, this time this metrologist didn't do his metrology so I can't give you a number. But the go-to-off time is simply WAY too soon.
