We have maintained for over 35 years that a good woodworking bench is the most important tool in any shop - no exceptions. It's not a myth. It's true. The best have traditionally been European made - like these are. But good ones typically have cost $600 to $1,200 - without closed storage capabilities. A specialist Czech bench making firm that we have known for over 15 years has developed a new design (the Model N) that still uses solid European Beech as its main timber but is made at much lower cost.
As a Special Option offered exclusively to Garrett Wade customers, we have added an optional double-shelf Storage Cabinet (as shown) to both the Large and Extra-large Model N Workbenches for even greater value. Sturdy, well made and fitted beech-veneer Storage Cabinet provides ample convenient storage for tools and work pieces. (Double-Shelf Storage Cabinets are not available to be ordered separately and can only be shipped together with a Model N Bench.)
Shipped by truck, freight prepaid (a modest Shipping Surcharge covering part of the shipping cost applies).
Special Shipping Advisory: We always ship our benches by truck, strapped to a pallet to protect the bench's integrity and ensure that it arrives in undamaged condition. Other firms ship these Model N benches by UPS. With over 35 years of experience, we know that this is a practice that flirts with disaster. Trucking costs will vary with distance.
