Festool DF 500 Q Domino Joiner |
A unique - and uniquely superior - joining system
The Festool Domino superficially resembles a standard Biscuit Joiner, but is actually a vastly improved and altogether different joining system. Instead of a biscuit, it employs a solid beech loose-tenon. This is a stronger system, and works much better - from your biggest jobs down to stock as small as 1 x 5/8".
Order the Jointer and the CT 22E Vacuum/Dust Extractor together and Save. For a full list of accessories Click Here.

| Festool Tools |
| Reviewed By: |
L Henkel (West Chester, OH) |
As an amateur woodworker for more years than I care to think about I was fascinated by the Festool line of power tools you offer. I was ready for a step up from the offerings of the "big box" stores so I purchased the Kapex, the Domino, the Rotex 150 and the CT Dust Collector. Over the years I have purchased many of your fine woodworking tools but these Festools rival the best of the best - even the Inca line you carried a few years back.
It's Spring, right? So I thought I would try my hand at a couple of Cypress Planter Boxes using my new tools (see pic). The Kapex with the lasers made quick work of sizing the parts, the Domino accurately joined everything together (no more fears of messing up a mortise and tenon on an expensive piece of wood), the Rotex 150 got everything nice and smooth (from coarse to finishing sanding), and the CT Dust Collector made cleanup almost nonexistent.
The tools worked flawlessly. I am most impressed with the power, lack of vibration, and accuracy. These tools really do what they advertise. With the 3 year warranty (none of those "except when used commercially" clauses) I am confident that I will be happy for years to come.
Again, thanks for adding this line to your already great catalog. Now it's off to buy some flowers and figure out what tool I need next. |
