Every well-equipped shop needs a set of these that fit the common sizes of wood screws (#5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 12). The tapered, shaped hole fits the shape of the screw, and the adjustable (and removable) countersink/counterbores and stop collars give this tooling great flexibility.
We have two alternatives.
The Journeyman's set, shown here in the red case, is made in China. We have recently found a new maker there that produces an excellent set. This is a good tooling that's a terrific value.
The alternative Professional Set made here in the USA by Fuller (see the orange wood block in the photo) is pricier, but superior - the 'Cadillac' of taper point drills.
Both sets have 21 pieces.
