Gerstner & Sons is a famous Ohio firm that has been producing special hardwood chests for a hundred years. Recently, they perfected the manufacture of some of their designs in China, providing their customers with what we at Garrett Wade know to be exceptional values. The Asian production is all sold under the "Gerstner International" brand.
Traditionally, Gerstner Chests have been built with full depth trays and drawers - but not so with this new one.
This new model is 3" longer and 1" wider than our very popular Small Gerstner Chest (96M01.01). The slightly larger size (+26% cu in) is nice, but the real plus is that the interior has been reworked to give you many more storage options. Among other things, the width of the front drawer and the removable tray have been reduced so that the entire interior height (top to bottom) in the back of the chest is available to store larger items. And the length of the removable tray has been reduced so that it can slid back and forth (left to right) in its holder.
These may sound like minor tweaks to you but we recognize them as significant modifications which give you much more flexibility in your options.
