Premium Grade Pruning Loppers |
We've looked at literally hundreds of these; virtually all are completely manufactured in Taiwan or China and perform just adequately.
These two are different, created by the same folks in Canada who make our superb and very popular H.D. Long Pole Saw (10G08.10). They designed a special ratcheting mechanism (double ratcheting in the case of the Anvil Pruner) which they get made in Taiwan, oversized for strength, and equipped with a teflon blade. To this they added their Canadian-made telescoping handles (26 to 40" long with 6 pin-locked position stops and rubber grips). Cutting jaw capacity is 2 to 2-1/2". If you are looking for a lifetime arborist's quality tool, you need to look no further.
We cannot recommend these enough for heavy work: they are superb. The Anvil Pruner is designed for cutting dry wood and the Bypass Pruner for green wood, you'll need both types. (Additional air shipping charges apply)
Made in Canada.

Lopper shears

This Anvil Lopper product is exceptional. I have cut beach saplings at ground level on several acres of forest land. At times I have to use the handle extension for extra leverage. There shears are truly professional and last for years in a semi industrial forest setting.

First I ordered the Bypass Model but before it arrived I deceided that I really should get the whole set,so I called and asked if I was able to get the anvil model and make it part of the special price offer for the set. They did this and were very courteous...Thanks Melanie & Another Gal,That unfortunately I didn't get her name

Great for Women
Reviewed By:

These loppers are great for women because of the ratcheting mechanism. Very easy to cut large braches by backing off on the handle and letting the tool do the work. I loaned them to my neighbors, both elderly women, who loved them so much they bought their own. Anvil lopper takes some getting use to, but a great value for a great tool.
