First, it has an "orange peel" reflector and three lumen output levels - 250, 200 and 100 lumens adjustable for angles. Second, it comes with a flip up/down diffuser which instantly changes the focus from spot to flood. Beam throw is an improved 278.8 ft. Third, it comes with a rechargeable 1200 mAh battery as standard (recharging is by a supplied USB cord that plugs into any desktop or laptop computer). And in a pinch, it will also run using 4 AAA batteries. Fifth (and most remarkable), it has IR controls which (if activated) allow you to turn the light on or off with a simple wave of your hand. On balance, although more expensive, its it is clearly a greatly improved value.
