I've been a GW customer since the late 70's and am still using handtools from GW that I purchased over 25 years ago. The quality is that good. Great company. The coolest stuff. Thanks again, -NP
Thank you for your conscientious and admirable customer service ethic. Another reason why I shop with you. -Serge
Lightweight (19 oz.) with a Swedish steel blade, this will quickly cut through a 15" log, yet can be collapsed into a compact 1-1/4" diameter aluminum tube (the longer handle) for travel anywhere. Featured and recommended in many publications as an essential for comfort and safety. A great tool.
Just wanted to comment on this excellent product. I received the 18" buck saw as a Christmas gift and took it on a camping trip over New Years in northern Saskatchewan. Temperatures reached -32C and never got above -20C. Needless to say, the saw got a lot of use keeping the campfire going. There is one change I will make before the next winter trip: to add some kind of tape or foam grip on the handle so there is some insulation from the cold aluminum.
I also found an additional use for the saw: it was the perfect tool for cutting frozen potatoes into pieces small enough for rabbit stew.
Just got your 18" take down bucksaw today. I went outside and cut off some old dead branches from a pine tree in back yard. Biggest branch was 6-8" and the saw cut it in seconds. I can't way to try it out next spring when 3-4 of us do our trail tree clearing on a bunch our favorite dirt bike trails here in Colorado We usually have lots of dead fall that clogs most of our trails. GREAT PRODUCT!!
The Take-Down Buck saw is a great product and has out performed many other packable saws I have tried. With the design change to keep the blade from cutting into the tubing, it will likely be the perfect saw for my use. Great products and great service are hard to come by these days so I will be sure to share my good experience with Trail Blazer Products with friends and family.
