  • What an axe!

Sandra roman, 9/20/2016 Ordered this Axe as a birthday present for my husband. Cuts through wood smooth and fast. Can even tackle knots! The handle is smoothie and it is clear that it is hand forgers. Quite the beauty and absolutes functional. We also ordered the Japanese hatchet which is amazing.
  • Perfect "niche" splitter

    D. Pledger, 2/16/2016 I have a number of full-sized splitting mauls and small hand splitters, but nothing in between. This axe fills the niche between them perfectly. It excels at doing "re-splits" in my garage (where space is limited) of pieces a bit too big for what I want to burn at the moment.
  • Bavarian Splitting Axe is Awesome!

PaintedBunting, 11/23/2015 I bought the bavarian splitting axe. I am so happy with how it feels and works that I prefer to use it rather than the hydraulic log splitter. Except for heavily knotted logs this axe splits oak and hickory much faster than the hydraulic one. It is the perfect weight- I can go a couple hours without tiring. I watched a few youtube videos on how to use a splitting axe on large diameter logs, and that was certainly helpful in learning to use this axe more proficiently. I highly recommend the Bavarian splitting axe.
