This Convex Sole Plane is a miniature workhorse that will do a great job of many trimming jobs, including hollowing out chair seats or any other kind of concave work. It is 4-7/8" long and 1-1/4" wide. Weighs only 1/2 lbs. The sole has a radius of 3" side-to-side and 27" front-to-back.The 1/8" thick A2 steel (hardened to Rc 60-62) blade is 7/8" wide and is bedded at an angle of 20° bevel up. The sole and blade are designed so that the corners of the blade will not protrude when set for medium or fine shaving. USA
