A legend among woodworkers
The heft and presence of this style of plane has made it a legend among woodworkers for trimming tenons and rabbets, especially end grain. To have it back again is very exciting. The body is ductile cast iron with a bronze lever cap. The 25 degrees bevel blade is bedded at 18 degrees and is actually .005" wider than the sole.
The captive nut blade adjustment is very positive. All screws are large and convenient. Fully adjustable mouth with the screw fully captured in the toe piece - providing fully positive control.- Plane body: 8-1/2" long
- Blade width: 1-1/4"
- Weight: 4 lbs.
