One of the most important finishing planes your shop can have
Based on the discontinued Stanley #62, this fully stress-relieved cast iron plane has a razor sharp blade bedded at 12 degrees. A moveable shoe in front of the blade allows fine adjustment of the mouth. Adjustment is very positive, using a captive stainless steel nut.
The blade is set with the bevel up, gives very smooth cutting on long grain, and produces exceptional work on end grain. The handle is of generous size and the sole is hand-lapped flat.- Plane body: 14" long
