05S19.06 6 In. Bionic Wrench
In Stock $28.95 $19.95

Squeeze the handle closed on this amazing tool, and each of the six independent heads (the shiny rectangular bits you see on the surface) slide inward together until they seat evenly on the hex head or nut. Even a damaged nut with rounded over corners can be removed with this tool.

The 8" Bionic Wrench does the same work as 18 metric and SAE inch sizes - all the way from 7/16 to 3/4" (11 to 20mm). The 6" long Bionic covers 14 ordinary wrench sizes: 1/4 to 9/16" (7 to 14mm), and the 10" Bionic covers another 19 sizes: 3/4 to 1-1/4" (19 to 30mm).

Made in the USA.

perfect gripper

This is perfect for my uses. I have the 4-tooth grip but am betting the full-round 6-tooth grip. I use it for holding round tubing or, especially in my case, for holding the 1/2" round gear for a sewing machine so that I can remove a nut that holds the gear onto a shaft. I can see that it would not be a lot better than some other tools for grabbing hold of a nut or bolt head, but perfect for holding tubing for or other round stock.

Useless
Reviewed By:  Kula Jon (Makawao, HI)
Relatively useless unless there are no obstructions around bolt (when does that ever happen!) The handles are poorly wrapped. Save your money and get a decent socket set and a Crescent wrench.

Thank you for your comments regarding the Bionic Wrenches. You make a good point - as with spanners and other types of wrenches, you need clearance around the nut or bolt for the Bionic Wrench to function as intended. Certainly more clearance than a socket because the Bionic holds six moving heads which compress evenly on all sides of a nut or bolt when the handles are squeezed, providing maximum, compounded grip. Even a socket wrench can slip if a nut is frozen or damaged, but not the Bionic, because of the compound gripping action and the even compression of the heads. This is the first we have heard of this situation with the handles. Customer was offered a replacement.
