Unique innovative design with extra-long Bowie style blade ( 1 Customer Review )

These are unique knives. Though we have never seen anything like this design before, it works exceptionally well. The 4-1/2" stainless Bowie-style clip blade is longer than the handle. When the knife is folded, the exposed tip is nestled in an extended blade guard (the tail piece with lanyard hole), while the hand guard folds out of the way. Open the knife and the hand guard folds into place while the tail swings around to serve as the blade lock. It's really ingenious.
You have a choice of handle styles: white smooth bone with scrimshaw engraving or brown stag bone. Both with nickel silver bolsters and guard, and brass pins and liners. Folded length 6-1/4"; open 11-1/4". Zippered storage pouch included. Overall, we think the Safety Folders are very good looking knives, a unique and useful design and we like them a lot.
