Any Man With A BBQ Needs One Of TheseThis thing is awesome. If you do not have one ....hand in your man card. Works great and lights the hardwood charcoal within seconds. The first time using it I thought it would be instant heat. Takes about 20 seconds and then you have red coals in a 1" pattern.
Best Grill Starter I've Used In 30+ YearsI've been using a BGE for 34 years, primarily with lump charcoal. I have never use lighter fluid starters. I've used crumpled newspaper and kindling to ring type charcoal starters and this is, by far, the best method for starting a grill I've ever tried. I've been using mine for nearly 2 years and still like it as much as when it was new,. Highly recommend.
Great IdeaThis is a great idea but the ad is misleading because as it turns out it's made in China.

Thank you for your review. You are correct: the Looftlighter is indeed made in China. We did not, however, intend to mislead customers. It is made for a Swedish company to their quality standards, and it was designed and engineered in Sweden."
HOT!!This is on slick item! it is like a curling iron on steroids! It is no louder than a vacuum cleaner and it comes with a very long cord. You hold it to your coals and within a few seconds your coals will start to smoke and soon there will be be fire! I use it on three areas on a large pile of charcoals. It is faster than using lighter fluid and it smells great! nice wood smoke aroma! The only thing is that it takes a little bit longer to cool down than what it states. I also tried using it on my wood stove and I have to say it is easier to just us wood starters.(at least for me) I have to say that in a pinch it would start a nice fire in my wood stove. Maybe it would be better in a fireplace. This is one of the best items I have ever bought! I use to use those electric coal starters and they last for a season or two. But this will last a very long time!!!
