Mini Japan Saw Set #1 |
Superb precision in a terrific smaller scale
For decades GarrettWade has been an avid proponent of traditional Japanese woodworking saws. These new ,very small hand-made saws are feather-light and perfectly balanced. They may look like toys but they are truly serious tools, hand-made by master artisans.
These are 13" in overall length, weigh less than 2 oz. each, and have 4-3/4" blades. The Ryoba has a 25tpi crosscut and a 13tpi rip-cut 0.016" thick blade. The 23tpi Dozuki has a super-thin 0.008" thick, universal rip-cut tooth pattern. The 15tpi Kataba saw has a blade with a mixed-cut tooth pattern that cuts evenly against, with, and diagonal to the grain. These are beautiful tools and we recommend them highly.

| Japanese Saws |
| Reviewed By: |

| These saws are excellent for even, smooth, accurate cuts. They insure a quality cut when cutting a piece of doweling or a board flush with a surface. I prefer Japanese saws because of their ease of use and cleanness of cut. |
