Night vision devices work by electronically amplifying (intensifying) available light and showing it on a screen in the binoculars. This one also has the ability to project invisible infrared light to assist in particularly dark conditions. It also has a quick-focus wide angle lens system.
This full-size 2.5X Binocular has an effective viewing range of 30 to 800 ft. This is not for everyone (the Monocular is less costly), but the technology is terrific.
