Heavy duty casters will make your life easier
Moving heavy equipment around can be a pain, but there is no choice in a small shop. Second-rate casters are available at any hardware store, but the construction is flimsy, the wheels are too small, etc.
The most effective combination is 2 rigid and 2 swivelling plate casters with locking mechanisms. These have 4" wheels with solid rubber tires and ball bearing axles. Load capacity is 125 lbs. per caster. Set A has 2 of each style of Caster. Set B is 4 of the Swivel Casters only.
