Parallel-Grip Viper® Locking Pliers |
Changes from a regular to a locking plier with a single click
Now available the Jaw Guards to Protect Fragile and Expensive Fixtures There is such a thing as a better mouse trap—or in this case, a better locking plier. Made from hardened steel sections, with a black oxide finish and stainless steel rivets. A click of a lever changes it from a regular to a locking plier, and a dial adjusts the force to your needs—less for soft material, and more for rusted bolts. Only modest hand pressure is required, and the jaws always close in a parallel motion, with no adjustment necessary for thick or thin material.
The 8" Standard Plier has about 22% more capacity than the 6" size. The needle nose pliers have longer jaws, which are able to reach into narrow places (same capacity as the 6" Standard Pliers).

| O.K. these are not our Fathers vice grips. They take a little getting used to but once I got the hang of them I reach for them all of the time. When you lock on to something with these, game over. Well made, easy to use ( once you get the hang) and a real bargain at this price. Recommended. |

| I bought both the needle nose and the standard 6" version of these "parallel" grip pliers. I like them and for some jobs they are great, but they don't work as I expected. The action is not really parallel. It also takes more fussing than with Vice grip pliers to get the grip strength right. Often once you think you have it adjusted where you want it they don't close as tight on the next thing you try to grab. All that said, they look good and the price is great, so I'm still glad I have them. |
