It's true. Porsche, the world-famous German sports car maker, used to make excellent farm tractors. Production stopped in 1956, but until then, if you wanted the best in Germany, you got a Porsche diesel - in this case the Master 419.

This heavy-duty traditional metal model (made in Europe) has real heft (scale 1:25). Fully steerable with a spring wind-up drive (through one of the wheel hubs), a full set of 4 gears (the real McCoy had 13 gears), a hand brake and a tow bar.

The sophisticated Dump Wagon makes a perfect accessory for this Tractor. No matter, what your age, this turns men into boys again. The adults in your family will try to take this one over - we guarantee it - so guard it for the littler members.

This is the best made modern "tin metal" model we have seen. Compatible with the Farm Tractor Set.

  • Farm Implements

Thom, 12/9/2014 This Farm and Porsche Tractor set it to go with my garden railroad. There will be a farm beside the tracks. Very good quality and details.
  • Birthday Hit

Hedgehog, 6/10/2014 It gets harder every year to find unique gifts for my father. As a long-standing collector of model cars/trucks/tractors and tools, we've just about given up finding something he doesn't have. I turned to Garrett Wade with the hope of finding a new tool and found the Porsche tractor. What a hit! He was amazed at the workmanship (how do they round the tin like that?), studied the documentation (it looks just like the factory model), and sat happily on the floor with the tractor running in circles around him, changing the gears and speed. While I would hesitate to recommend the tractor for my young grandson (who we think could break an anvil) his great-grandfather certainly enjoys it and will, I know, give it a place of honor in his display case.

  • Tin Tractor

Daniel L., 1/9/2013 Very well made tin toy. Glossy paint job, really beautiful, amazing mechanism, a must for collectors., and it is a wind-up tractor.
  • Too bad

Ronnie, 1/1/2013 built well, the wind up spring, broke after about 30min. Too bad, as above... I thought it would be a lot better, wind up! But it is nice.
  • Cute as a Button

Ivison Rowland, 12/23/2010 I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to operate the real Porsche diesel tractor while an Ag.student at Rutger's Univ. in 1960. We had one on loan for evaluation, and it was quite a departure from the John Deere & Case etc. models in general use. Lots of low speed torque but very noisy. This model is very true to life for this very rare tractor..air-cooled, as I recall..
