All are at least 50 to 60 years old and many are far older than that. This classic builder's tool had a place in the pocket of every pair of work overalls. They are of varying length (8 to 12" long) and the design has been around and used since the 19th Century. All were made by John Rabone & Sons, a famous English tool maker, in Birmingham.
Most have either a maker's or owner's initials or name stamped on the body. With the large piece of solid brass across the top, as beautiful objects they are hard to beat. They are a bit more expensive than the other antique tools we have found because those in good condition like these are scarcer. All our stock has been hand picked for quality.
