Great Addition

This is a good chisel set, but don't mistake them for anything near the best. They are a handy size for small trimming jobs and for working in restricted space. The Maple handles are well-made, smooth, and have a good feel in the hand. The heft and balance are decent, as is the finish on the blade.

Too Small For My Hand
Reviewed By:   (Fair Lawn, NJ)
These are a well finished set. It is not sold as a top of the line but definitely as a premium product. (compare to $5 set at HFT) I have a set of older Stanley yellow plastic handle chisels, but lost two of them over time and this was suppose to be a replacement. Note that Stanley chisels were a mass market brand sold at every hardware store at mass market prices. I have found these to be very small. It says that these are hand chisels but I have expected something of the Stanley's size and these are noticeably smaller. They feel almost like a set of carving tools, not chisels. Also comparing to Stanleys I am not sure if the hardness is as high as it claims, although I do not have equipment to test. I worked with metal manufacturing in the past and RC 59 is a very high hardness. Hardly anything can go higher. This is not a bad set and depending on you needs may serve you very well but I have to pass...
