Quickly check the flatness of a surface or wall, or to lay out cut lines on panels and sheets. The weight of a steel straightedge can be cumbersome, and unless extreme accuracy is necessary, an aluminum straightedge can be a welcome, lightweight alternative. 1-3/4" wide and 3/8" thick, the 24" long Straightedge weighs 18 oz. and has a tolerance of 0.001", while the 38" weighs 28 oz. and has a tolerance of 0.002".
