Wind-Up Metal Steam Engine Model

Admittedly, this is romantic nostalgia – pure and simple. But it’s so much more fun to lose oneself in the 19th century fantasy than confront our 21st century reality. We like to think it was an easier, more straightforward time, but of course it was neither and was every bit as challenging as today is. The challenges were just different, that’s all.

Yet thinking of an old choo-choo crossing the western plains is somehow calming to the soul and all it takes is a quick glance at this toy to bring it all to life in the mind. This toy is never going to be that important to your small children (although they will have fun with it) but it just might teach them something. We like it, for sure.
