One of the great features of the standard adjustable wrench is that it presses with flat jaws on the parallel faced nut (like the familiar 6-sided hex nut). But there's no way to gradually increase gripping on a stubborn nut to make sure the wrench does not slip off.
The design geometry of this special industrial Wrench moves the jaws toward the parallel faces on nuts in overall width from 3/8" (10mm) to 1-1/4" (32mm), which is more than adequate for most work, and allows you to increase pressure as needed. Fast to use and very positive, this is a great new tool.
