We have been deeply impressed by the quality of Canal Street Cutlery's classic designs and workmanship. They are master cutlers who really know their stuff. The double-stitched, fitted leather sheaths by themselves are stunning.
The D'Holder Drop Point Hunter has a mirror polished blade made of 19C17 Sandvik specialty steel (Rc 60-63) 3" long. The handle is rich, dark Stag Bone. This is an absolutely gorgeous tool.
The 1873 Classic Bowie has a 7" blade with a 6" cutting edge and an American Buffalo (Bison) Horn handle in the classic "coffin" style. The overall length is 11-3/4". The full tang blade is D2 steel with a nickel silver guard. It's hard to imagine a more beautiful Bowie for those who love these. Both the Drop Point and the Bowie come packed in a gift box. These are both expensive knives but we promise you will be very pleased with them.
Please note that the picture shows the Bowie with a Macassar Ebony handle. This wood has become unavailable, and the knifes now have American Buffalo Horn handles - this is blackish brown like the Macassar Ebony but with some white striations.
Made in the USA.
