The standard Work Sharp 3000 only provides a honing guide jig for chisel and plane blades up to 1-5/8" wide. This new optional attachment gives you all the capacity and precision you need to accurately sharpen and hone (even with a 1° micro-bevel) all larger blades up to 3" wide. It's really an essential accessory and we recommend it highly. Sets and controls bevels in 5° increments from 15° to 60°.
