Proxxon Small-Scale Belt Sander |
A very useful finish-carpentry tool
Just the ticket for modeling and crafts, this sander's 1-1/2" belt size fits the scale of small projects. Easily used one-handed, it's also great for conventional finish carpentry. The belt is flush on the left side to allow surfaces to be sanded right down to the edge or corner. In addition, the body has a mounting hole in its flat top (see the steel clamp in the photo), so you can turn it over, clamp it to a board or table, and use it just like any stationary belt sander. Overall size 3-1/2 x 6-3/4 x 2". Weighs 2.7 lbs. Comes with 10 mixed belts. Proxxon German high quality.

| Nice tool! |

| I got this tool not for small-scale projects but for finish carpentry projects and cabinetmaking. It's quite the little workhorse and, yes, a quiet one at that. I wish its RPM were a bit higher, but the work it performs is nevertheless significant while still offering a large amount of control. And the bench-top clamp is a real nice touch. |
