Flex shaft LED pick-up lights that let you look in small hard-to-reach areas for lost parts or to check on the position of a fitting are not uncommon today. But what is rare is one that uses a strong red light instead of a night-vision blinding white light (if it's really dark, a white light can destroy your night-vision). Of course, it works just as well in semi-dark spots as well. Get a couple - one for your car and one for the shop - and save even more.

Turn off light

My problem was different than the other two.. Mine would not shut off at all. By shorting the spring I would be able for the threaded top to stay attached when turned to the off position… Being 68 years old, years of common sense helped me find the solution to the problem. I just wanted let others know that if they had the same problem, the solution was simple.

I was turning the wrong part of the light counterclockwise. The bulb section, which should be turned to douse light, was tight at first, and I didn't realize it would turn; however, it does turn and the light can be turned off with the batteries intact. Sorry, Guys. I should have realized sooner that GW wouldn't sell a defective product. "Good magnet," he said sheepishly.

A useful product but when it comes to turning off the light, if you don't rotate the light head enough, the light will come back on and drain out the batteries. Response By: Garrett Wade Tech Department The light head for this tool does indeed need to be rotated counter clockwise completely in order for the light to switch off properly which will save battery life.
