Rosewood Screw Mortise Marking Gauge

One side of the gauge has a single steel pin for general marking and the other side has a set of pins, one fixed and one adjustable, that is terrific for laying out mortises. Moveable pin adjusts up to 2-3/8” away from fixed pin by means of a brass thumbscrew slide at the end of the beam (also called a "screwslide" - more accurate than a plain "pull slide"). Made of solid rosewood with brass fittings and facing strip inserts. Maximum distance from fence to fixed pin is 4-1/8”. Overall length is about 8”.
