We've seen these with leather cases for years at antique tool shows. Unfortunately, the day of the leather case is long gone (at least at an affordable cost), but the same handsome style is available with a well made dark-brown ABS plastic case. The traditional solid brass rewind mechanism and end-loop is used, with a non-stretch and long-lasting vinyl cloth tape that is clearly marked with an Imperial inch scale and metric scale (cm) on the reverse. Great for sewing and many household chores. It's really quite neat, and a most unusual gift these days.
