Virtually eliminates any risk of accidental cuts. The idea behind this safety tool is so simple that its almost beyond understanding why no one figured it out before. (I speak as someone who has accidentally cut myself.)
The simple idea is that the blade is spring loaded. It's an easy, natural motion of the thumb to press the slide exposing the blade as part of the cutting action. Releasing the thumb on completion snaps the blade back in its housing. We think it's terrific. Get a bunch and spread them around. (Full disclosure: it is very difficult for a left-handed person to use this tool.) Replacement cutters come in packs of 10. Imported. Save 30%.
