It is devilishly difficult, yet critical, to ensure pilot holes for hardware or other pieces for attachment are precisely centered. An off center hole will force the position of the piece off line. This clever and inexpensive tool does the job easily, every time.
The cone shaped nose on the Self Centering Hardware Punch ensures that the prick-pointed plunger will hit exact center. The same is true for the Self-Centering Seven-Step Punch (for holes with diameters of 1/8", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2" and 5/8" for thick materials like a wood panel). Simply tap with your hammer and the mark is true.
