This is one of the nicest, effective, environmentally friendly devices we've seen. If you use a free-standing wood stove, as more folks are doing, this will help you circulate warm air around the room. You'll also use less fuel for the stove as a result. Just put the base on the stove top. A small, heat-activated, high-tech motor supplies power to turn the fan. (The power is so low that no blade guard is needed.)

The Small Fan moves about 100 CFM. The Large Fan moves about 150 CFM. Speed varies with stove temperature. Overall height 10 and 11". The Fan runs at zero cost for as long as the stove stays hot.

This fan has meet my expectations for distrubuting heated air and improving the heat tranfer from out primary home heating stove. We added a supplemental decorative stove top artpiece in front of the fan which even increased the warmth of the air transfered to the rooms

We live in a 2-story 1898 home on the north coast of the Olympic Peninsula and have been using the larger fan for over two years with our primary heat source, a woodstove. It successfully helps to send heat down the hall from our main room and, in combination with natural convection, up the stairwell to the second floor. We rarely resort to using our secondary heating system of electric space heaters. When winter storms cause power outages, since the fan requires no electricity to function, we still stay snug and warm. We recommend this little giant of a fan!

This fan is amazing! It is beautiful to look at, no assembly required, and does exactly what it is supposed to do - blow heat from the wood stove into the room. In addition, it requires no electricity, and, in case of a power outage, will continue to do its job. I love it. I took it out of the box, placed it on the stove, and it worked. Never have I had so much instant gratification from a product!!! Thank you!
