More effective & less tiring work
Building the average deck probably requires you to lift your old hefty steel hammer at least 1,200 times. That's equal to about 1,575 pounds of lifting. But it's the momentum of the head that drives the nail; a combination of weight and speed. This hammer, made from much harder Titanium, transfers much more force to the nail because it absorbs less of the impact than softer steel. You will strike more rapidly and effectively, and with less effort. Also, Titanium does not ring and vibrate as steel does, a welcome rest for your arm and wrist.
The Smooth Face Finisher is 10 oz. (14" long) but equal to an 18 oz. hammer in power. (The claw on this hammer is now straighter than shown.) Our 1-1/2" Milled Face Framer (17" long) at 14 oz. is equivalent to a 21 oz. steel hammer, and has a very handy magnetic nail starter on top.
