Made for the British Army to NATO specs,
these don’t look like ordinary “strike anywhere” matches and they aren’t. The heads are exceptionally long with specially waterproofed tips to light easily even in the rain and to burn fiercely in a stiff wind. Each waterproof plastic container holds 25 matches and 2 striking surfaces. Each “pack” comes with two containers – 50 matches in total. We think these are terrific and every camper or trekker should carry them. They take up almost zero space in a backpack but could ensure your survival in a real emergency.
