Put a final, polished edge on tools
A good leather Strop is the best way to finish sharpening a woodworking tool or knife. It removes any remaining burrs and micro-polishes both sides of the bevel for maximum effect.
The Bench Strop is one-sided designed to be able to be screwed down to a bench surface or moveable wooden plate, to use this with plane blades or flat chisels, for example.
The Flex Strop is two-sided (same leather on both) and the body is double-cut longitudinally to give the surface some flex. Use this one for knives, and carving tools, or any job where you prefer to have the Strop in your hands. France.
As an aid, we have a green chrome-oxide Honing Compound (6 oz) which contains a blend of fine abrasives specific for woodworking tools. It speeds your stropping work. We recommend it. It will last a long time. Canada.
