Work Sharp Belt Sharpening System for the Work Sharp 3000. Quickly attaches to the WS3000. It sharpens knives & tools using a combination of flexible abrasive belts and a precision sharpening guide. This creates sharp blades with speed, ease and repeatability. The sharpening guide is adjustable from 10° to 35° and accommodates kitchen knives, outdoor knives (hunting knives, pocket knives, fillet knives, etc.) as well as scissors and serrated knives. The sharpening system can also be used without the sharpening guide for a wide array of freehand sharpening and honing tasks on many woodworking cutting tools such as marking knives and carving tools.
The belt system differs from rigid sharpening systems because it naturally sharpens edges to a slightly convex profile. This leads to a stronger edge. The belt system also works well on highly curved blades.
Belts are premium grade abrasives dsigned for grinding, sharpening and honing steel, and are 1" x 18".
